Apply Your DTF Transfers the Right Way
To get the best results from your DTF Colorado transfers, itβs critical to follow proper heat press settings and application steps.
π Incorrect application is the #1 cause of peeling, cracking, or bubbling.
π₯ Recommended Heat Press Settings
- Temperature: 300β325Β°F
- Time: 10β15 seconds
- Pressure: Medium to firm
π Every heat press is different β always test before production
π§Ύ Step-by-Step Application
Step 1: Prepare the Garment
- Place garment on heat press
- Pre-press for 5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles
Step 2: Position the Transfer
- Place transfer in desired location
- Ensure it is flat and aligned properly
Step 3: First Press
- Press at 300β325Β°F for 10β15 seconds
- Use medium to firm pressure
Step 4: Peel the Film
- Allow to cool slightly (warm peel recommended)
- Peel smoothly and evenly
π Do not rush this step
Step 5: Second Press (VERY IMPORTANT)
- Cover with parchment paper or Teflon sheet
- Press again for 5β10 seconds
π This step locks in durability and improves finish
π Fabric Compatibility
DTF transfers work best on:
- Cotton
- Polyester
- Cotton/poly blends
